Free Workout Timer for iPhone

Three timer modes for every workout — count up, count down, and intervals. No ads, ever.

One app for every workout

Most workouts need one of three things from a timer: a clock that counts up, a clock that counts down, or a clock that alternates between work and rest. Box Timer does all three — in a single free app with no ads, no subscriptions, and no features you will never use.

Whether you train CrossFit, HIIT, Tabata, boxing, or just need a reliable timer at the gym, Box Timer handles it with a large, readable display that works in any lighting and audio cues loud enough to hear over any gym floor.

Three timer modes explained

Count Up Timer

Starts from zero and counts upward. Use it for For Time CrossFit workouts, open-ended conditioning, or any workout where you want to know how long you took. Set an optional time cap and the timer will alert you when it is reached.

Count Down Timer

Set a target duration and watch it count down to zero. Ideal for AMRAP workouts, timed exercises like planks or holds, or tracking rest between sets. Configurable from a few seconds up to 99 minutes, with an audio alert at completion.

Interval Timer

Alternates between a work period and a rest period for a set number of rounds. The foundation of HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, and boxing round timers. Supports up to 99 rounds with any combination of work and rest durations.
